A-Moro Konsults is a social enterprise that hit the ground in 2012 by providing technical supports to Women and Youth groups in Northern Uganda. These groups were formerly internally displaced persons (IDPs) and vulnerable families living with HIV/AIDs picking up the pieces for a better future to their families and groups. We collaboratively worked with the private sector players and Uganda Cooperative Alliance in enterprise development that enabled establishment of Bobi Farmers’ Cooperative based on the groups’ needs. The cooperatives were provided training on a diverse topical areas of enterprise selection and planning, financial management, best agronomic practices, post-harvest management, record keeping, group dynamics and arranged learning visits for the cooperative to network with the agribusiness value chain players in the region. A-Moro Konsults provided technical and economic resources that supported the groups’ transition into a legally registered farmers’ cooperative under Uganda Laws in 2013- to competitively thrive in the globally evolving business landscape.
